Taking MEP without a Pressure Meter

quick tutorial

Tutorial description

This ~15-minute tutorial introduces clinicians to taking a patient's MEP (Maximal Expiratory Pressure) without the use of a respiratory pressure meter. You'll learn about the limitations of using this method, as well as how to use a pressure threshold expiratory device to approximate your patient's MEP in order to determine their training load for EMST.

For a complete training in Respiratory Muscle Training, you are invited to take any of these comprehensive courses , many of which are registered for ASHA CEUs. Click here to take an upcoming RMT course.
